"Building Greater Support and Voice for Un任期内d Faculty"

Purpose and Goals

1. Support probationary un任期内d faculty by advocating for and providing consultation to relevant Academic Affairs units (e.g., Provost’s Office, Center for Faculty 发展, 院长, Faculty Affairs, Re搜索 Foundation) for the development and implementation of programs and 活动 to support faculty in their scholarship, 教学, 专业, 服务, and collegial 活动 in order to meet retention, 任期内, and promotion (RTP) expectations;
   
   
2. 开发, 提供, and implement a variety of UFO 活动, events and opportunities to support un任期内d faculty as part of the work of the faculty organization;
   
   
3. Promote positive 沟通 with other internal and external units outside of Academic Affairs (e.g., Student Affairs and the 社区 at large);
   
   
4. 鼓励, 授权, and advocate for increased opportunities for un任期内d faculty to develop and 增强 their skills in the area of leadership and 专业 development by becoming more actively involved in important University, 社区, and 专业 服务.
   
   
5. Create a collegial social support network and foster personal friendships and a sense of 社区 among the members of the organization;
   
   
6. Provide a safe and confidential forum for open dialogue, discussion, and conversation among members. UFO members agree that the internal 沟通s and business of the organization shall be honored, 受人尊敬的, and held confidential as appropriate.

The Un任期内d Faculty Organization (UFO) was founded at 基督教社会联盟DH in 2015, and is continuously seeking faculty interested in building greater support and voice for un任期内d faculty.

1. Notification and access to a variety of events, 活动, and opportunities related to supporting un任期内d faculty in the areas of scholarly, 教学, 服务, and collegiate 活动.

2. Chance to meet other faculty from across campus at regular monthly Executive Officer meetings.
